VR0GU3 is a new VR sci-fi shooter title for the HTC Vive, that was just released on Steam.
In this game, the player have just completed an infiltration mission, and have 15 minutes (which is actually how long the game last in real world) to navigate out of the maze-like spacestation, steal a fighter and escape.
There are obstacles (enemies) along the way, and you can expect to see the common items, such as ammo and medical pack,or weapon upgrade kits to improve your weapon.
This game is designed to be a pick-and-play VR game, and the short play session is suitable for sharing the game among friends during a gathering or a party. In addition, there’s no checkpoint, no save, and if you die, you start all over. In other words, you have to clear the game in one sitting.
In this game, the player is armed with a handgun. To reload, the player has to eject the magazine, grab the new magazine from the ammo pouch with the other hand, and slot it into the gun. In addition, the player can use a sword for close encounter, or if he depletes his ammunition. There’s also a rogue-like character advancement: you collect XP as you progress, which improves your stats like health and damage.
This title uses a touchpad walking-style of movement, so there’s a chance it might make you sick if you are sensitive to simulation sickness. Depending on feedback, they may introduce other locomotion systems in the future though.
The game developers are working on various stuffs for the next update, including leaderboard, another enemy type, collectible weapons and fine tuning.
VR0Gu3 is currently on a 20% discount and is developed by Big Dumb Fun Games.
