A new online sports title “CuVRball” is up on Steam, featuring compatibility with the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
CuVRball is an Early Access title from Hypergolic Games, and is described as a “cross between Rocket League, Dodgeball and UFO flying” by the developer. The objective is to put the ball into the goal, and what makes this interesting is the ability to use the grenades for various purposes. When you use it on your teammates, it will give them a speed boost, and on the other hand, you can also inflict damage at the opponent to slow them down. Hitting an opponent with the ball will force him to respawn too.
You will also find various yellow boosting balls which are able to make you navigate faster or shoot faster (with the grenades and the ball).
CuVRball offers up to 3v3 options, and as its title imply, you can also curve the ball by adding rotation to it, allowing to you impressive tricks to bypass opponents’ defensive position as well.
This game is expected to come out of Early Access in a couple of months, with most of the WIP stuffs limiting to the arts. This game is currently on a 15% launch promotion.
