“Affected: The Manor” Rift Release End Feb, Vive Release, Details for Other VR Titles

The original AFFECTED was released on the Oculus DK1 way back in 2013, and then updated for the DK2 in the following year. Fallen Planet Studios then split them up into 3 chapters (hence a trilogy), and then focuses on extending and enhancing all of them for release on the Oculus Rift CV1 and HTC Vive.

The first title of the trilogy, AFFECTED: The Manor, is currently available for the Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream. It is a psychological horror walk-through experience that has amassed over 150 million Youtube hits so far. In this chapter, the player ventures deep into the Manor that is choke full of randomized scares everywhere.

Today, Fallen Planet Studios announced that AFFECTED: The Manor has been completed for the Oculus Rift CV1 release, and the title will be releasing on the Oculus store by the end of the month, with full Touch compatibility. Vive owners will have to wait a little longer for the release on Steam, and they can’t provide an exact date for it now.

Right after that, Fallen Planet Studios will follow up with the 2 other games in the AFFECTED trilogy. The next release is “Asylum“, which will be followed by “The Carnival“, and they are confirmed for VR on PC and mobile. Development for the Cabin has already started, and will be released once they completed their original AFFECTED trilogy.
