The former head of Sony London, Dave Ranyard, Richard Bates and Kumar Jacob will be creating a new indie VR studio, Dream Reality Interactive, along side some former Sony London colleagues. Dave Ranyard will assume the role of the CEO position, while Richard Bates (SingStar Technical Director) will be the CTO of the new company. Kumar Jacob, former VP at Citerion will be the CFO.
Dave Ranyard has worked at Sony for the past 17 years, amassing great experience and has contributed to titles like Singstar and Wonderbook: Book of Spells. His most recent VR work “VR Worlds”, was one of the earliest VR titles for Sony’s Playstation VR headset.
Dave Ranyard will be joined by his former Sony London colleagues Richard Bates, Artemis Tsouflidou, Albert Bentall and John Foster. All of them has worked on VR Worlds as well.
The new studio already has several projects and prototypes in the pipeline, and will be creating brand new original VR titles while also contribute to third party projects.

The new studio is based in Farringdon.
