Star Trek: Bridge Crew, an upcoming VR title originally pegged for a March 15 2017 release, is now rescheduled for a release on a May 30, as announced on Ubiblog.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew will give the players the opportunity to explore the Star Trek universe in VR, from the simulated bridge of a Federation starship.
To cushion the bad news of the delay, Ubisoft announces at the same time, that in addition to the previously revealed U.S.S. Aegis, you will also have the chance to now serves on the Star Trek: The Original Series’ version of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
The Enterprise is developed in close cooperation with CBS Consumer Products, will it will be available in the game’s ongoing Voyages mode, which features procedural generated solo and co-op missions.
“The original U.S.S. Enterprise is such an iconic part of the franchise,” says David Votypka, senior creative director at Red Storm Entertainment. “The adventures and relationships that took place on the ship are a special part of Star Trek history, so we were determined to give players the opportunity to create their own adventures and stories on this classic ship.”
This game is set for release on the Playstation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
