At GDC today, Oculus showcased an exciting lineup of brand new VR games that will be coming to Rift and Gear VR.

Here are the run down:

OCULUS RIFT

Brass Tactics

A brand new VR title has been announced by Hidden Path Entertainment today, in partnership with Oculus. Titled “Brass Tactics“, this new game is a real time strategy (RTS) game from the company’s CCO Mark Terrano, who has worked as the Lead Designer for the popular “Age of Empires II: Age of Kings“.

The game is slated for a Fall release this year. Online multiplayer will be featured in this title, allowing you to fight against your friends, or ally with them in co-op play against the AI. Check out the blog post announcement from the studio here.

Hidden Path Entertainment takes RTS to the next level with Brass Tactics. Team up with other players in co-op mode or battle it out in PvP as you use Touch to physically move your clockwork creations on the battlefield and direct attacks with a sweep of your hand.

Blade & Soul: Table Arena

NCSoft is bringing its popular game franchise “Blade & Soul” to Virtual Reality, as they announces a spin-off title “Blade & Soul: Table Arena” for the Rift. This game will merge the collectible card game (CCG) and real-time strategy (RTS), and allows you to use your hands to summon units for battle with the Touch.

NCSoft merges the collectible card game (CCG) and real-time strategy (RTS) genres with Blade & Soul: Table Arena. Touch lets you use your hands to summon units as you battle for domination. Strength and strategy are key, so choose units wisely and take advantage of training and upgrades in the lab.

From Other Suns

Developed by Gunfire Games (developers of Chronos, Dead And Buried), this procedurally-generated space adventure co-op shooter VR title allows you to team up with other VR friends to explore and battle enemies from the other worlds.

Gunfire Games is back with their fourth VR title for Oculus: From Other Suns. This hilarious four player co-op shooter lets you fight to save humanity from interstellar threats or joyride through the galaxy until humanity’s clock runs down—your call.

The Mage’s Tale

This VR title “The Mage’s Tale” from inXile Entertainment is set in the world of classic RPG game series “The Bard’s Tale” (but this game is itself a stand-alone title). Instead of playing as a bard, this time player will be assuming the role of a mage. You will be able to cast a great variety of spells with your hands in this dungeon-crawling adventure RPG title for the Rift.

inXile Entertainment brings The Bard’s Tale universe into VR with The Mage’s Tale. Fans of dungeon crawlers are in for a treat, since this game brings the ability to mix and cast spells with your hands to a dungeon-crawling adventure RPG.

SAMSUNG GEAR VR

Augmented Empire

Augmented Empire is a brand new tactical strategy VR title from Coatsink Software, that is set on the island of New Savannah, an isolated neo-noir city which is divided into 3 tiers of “Citizen Grade Systems”. Check out the game site for screenshots.

Coatsink Software’s Augmented Empire delivers a narrative-driven tactical RPG set in a neo-noir dystopian society. While those with social cachet live in luxury at the top, criminals and outcasts suffer in squalor. Take charge of a squad of bio-electrontically modified misfits to lead the revolution.

Term1nal

Term1nal is a VR title from  Force Field, who previously released “Landfall” for the Oculus platform as well. In this puzzle game, you will be assuming androids from your apartment, but you will soon discover the high-tech facility is hiding some sort of dark secrets.

Force Field VR combines third-person stealth and immersive first-person puzzle-solving in Term1nal. A skilled avatar pilot for hire, you’ll use advanced VR hardware to control androids from the safety of your apartment as you uncover a high-tech facility’s dark secrets.
