VRWERX to Explore Alternate Locomotion Mechanics for “Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul”

One of the key reasons for Early Access was so developers can gather feedback from players to improve the game, and in this case, VRWERX did.

Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul was released yesterday with positive responses on Steam for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, but not immune to criticism of course since it is still in early access stage. One of the common criticisms is its movement system. In this game, the title relies on you pressing forward on the touch pad of the controller, and looking in the direction you want to move.

With regard to that, the developer has responded that they will be looking into alternative locomotion mechanics to choose from when launching the game.

Thank you all for the great support and honest comments. We are obviously disappointed that some of you are not happy with our current movement system. Please note, that a tremendous amount of R&D went into this system and we have had great success in regards to almost zero circumstances of nausea. That was our goal, to make the gaming experience as comfortable as possible.

With that said, we want you to know that we are listening to you all and have decided to explore alternative locomotion mechanics to choose from when launching the game. We will work hard to accommodate this, and for it to be included in one of the upcoming patches.

From all of us, a great big THANK YOU for all the support.

Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul will be coming to Playstation VR at a later date.
