Croteam has got several Serious Sam virtual reality titles, but all except one are VR remake of the 2d flat screen versions. Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope is that exception, making it the only Serious Sam VR title that is build from the ground up.
Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope is a wave wave shooter that was released over Steam as early access for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Today, Croteam drops a massive update to that game, as the title takes a step towards full release.
Termed “Arcadia Update”, this update adds an “Arcadia Minor” with its 4 new locations: – Sea Breeze, Meadow of Death, The Lost Valley and The Final Breath.
The update also comes with some new weapons, including the devastating cannon, as well as 4 new enemies and a new huge Earth Giant boss.
The update is more than just additional contents. There are other adjustments too, for example, a “reworked save system which now allows you to continue a wave where you left-off in a previous session. That means you no longer need to go through a planet in a single sitting”. Check out the full log here.
