VR E3 2017 News Roundup

E3 is still undergoing, but it seems we have most if not all of the VR related games news announced from the event. Without further ado, here’s a roundup of all the news that has been announced over the past few days:


No Heroes Allowed!

Sony announces that this title will be localized and released in the West.

 

Archangel VR

Platform: Playstation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift

This game is shown on the show floor, and that they also has a new E3 trailer.

 

Walking Dead VR

Platform: Playstation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift
Developer: Skydance Interactive

A series of Walking Dead VR titles is announced, and the first title will be out 2018. It will be a collaboration work between Robert Kirkman, Skybound Entertainment and  Skydance Interactive. The game will have new characters and settings. Nothing was shown unfortunately.

Preta: Vendetta Rising

Platform: Playstation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift

This game is shown on the show floor, and that they also has a new E3 trailer.

Luna

Platform: Playstation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift

More details of this game has emerged. This game is about a bird who got lured away from its nest and swallow the last piece of the waning moon by an owl. The bird got blown far by a storm to an unfamiliar place. You have to solve puzzles to help the bird find its way home.

 

Transference

A new psychological thriller VR title was announced during the Ubisoft E3 conference.

 

Space Junkie

Platform: HTC Vive, Oculus Rift

This jetpack fueled space shooter competitive title was announced from Ubisoft.

 

Superhot VR

Platform: Playstation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift

Developer: Superhot Team

Superhot VR is announced to be ported from Vive/Rift over to Playstation VR. The PSVR version will come this Summer.

 

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR

Platform: Playstation VR

Announced at Sony’s E3 2017 Media Showcase, Skyrim VR will be releasing for the Playstation VR this November. Apparently this will be a timed exclusive.

 

Star Child

Platform: Playstation VR

Developer: Playful Corporation

Announced at Sony’s E3 2017 conference, Star Child is a sci-fi platform adventure VR title from Playful Corporation, who also made Lucky’s Tale for Oculus.

 

The Talos Principle VR

Platform: HTC Vive
Developer: Croteam

Croteam announces the title a couple of months ago, and apparently, this game was shown behind closed door at E3.

 

The Inpatient

Platform: Playstation VR

This horror title was announced to take place 60 years before Until Dawn. This title was announced during Sony’s E3 conference.

 

Duck Season VR

Platform: HTC Vive
Developer: Stress Level Zero

Duck Season VR was announced few months ago, and is said to be launching “very soon”. A gun peripheral that resembles the NES blaster was shown, but “retrofitted” with the Vive Tracker. It was announced that there are 7 other mini games, but apparently there’s a deeper secret beneath. Duck Season VR will have 7 different endings with a secret subplot.

 

Bravo Team

Platform: Playstation VR

A first person PlayStation VR cover shooter set in Europe. Will have PS VR Aim Controller compatibility. This title was announced during Sony’s E3 conference.

Survios announces details about the “Hostile Takeover PvP” update, along with the Closed Beta this weekend too. They also announces that they will be porting it to the Playstation VR.

 

Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy 15

This looks to be more of an experience than an actual game. Based on the Final Fantasy 15 world, this title will arrive this September. This title was announced during Sony’s E3 conference.

 

Bloody Zombies

Platform: Playstation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift

A new E3 trailer was released for Bloody Zombies. This game will feature optional VR support.

 

DOOM VFR

Platform: Playstation VR, HTC Vive

DOOM VFR is a brand new title from id Software announced at Bethesda’s conference. This game will be releasing this year.

 

Fallout 4 VR

Platform: HTC Vive

Fallout 4 VR is a VR remake of Fallout 4 announced at Bethesda’s conference this year. This game will be releasing October this year.

 

Farpoint

Platform: Playstation VR
Developer: Impulse Gear

Not a new game announcement, but they announces details about the Cryo Pack expansion that’s coming this month. Demo of the new stage from the new Cryo Pack was shown at E3.

Sparc

Platform: HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Playstation VR

CCP Games announce that this game will be releasing Q3 2017 on Playstation VR, followed by the other platforms.
