A new gameplay video has emerged for Special Force VR, the VR spin of the F2P FPS title “Special Force”. Do note that there is another upcoming VR title with a very similar name (Special Forces VR) that is set to release on the same platforms as well from VR Visio.
Developed by Korean developer Dragonfly, Special Force VR for Playstation VR and HTC Vive looks to be 2 separate, different games despite the same title as shown from the trailers. It seems the title has been tailor fitted for both VR platforms.
On the HTC Vive version, it looks like the player cannot move around the battlefield freely. You can see that there’s dual wielding, and the video showcased entirely ground based battle. The PSVR version on the other hand, looks more like a traditional console FPS title with VR compatibility. There’s free artificial locomotion, but there’s no dual wielding or free hand motion movement, likely due to it being play on a dual shock controller. We will have to wait to see if PS Move motion controllers support will be added to this title.
The HTC Vive video emerged last month, while the PSVR video surfaced 2 days ago.
