The release date for the Playstation VR version of Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul has been announced! Console VR owners can get to scare their pants off from this title this coming August 15 2017.
The VR debut of the Paranormal Activity franchise is already available on Steam Early Access for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. While it is getting mixed reactions from users, due to bugs and short lengths, the developers VRWERX are actively working to improve them at the moment (speaking of which, they are going to deliver an update for the PC version on the same date where the PSVR version is released).
Engineered from conception for VR, “PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE LOST SOUL” immerses you in a terrifying realistic environment with haunting atmosphere, and the need to survive. With very limited guidance, your free-movement enables you to discover the secrets that lie in this house of horror.
That said, this game is merely based on the franchise’s mythology and isn’t directly tied with any of the movie entry. PA: The Lost Soul is set in a house in the middle of the woods, and not surprisingly there’s something lurking inside.
The game last about 3 hours. I have no idea if August 15 will be the date where the PC version exits Early Access stage as well. This game was originally scheduled to be out late last year for all the platforms.
