Avrlon has just provided some new updates surrounding Elemental Combat, and upcoming VR fast-paced, competitive title, “that blends the speed and intensity of an FPS with martial arts and RPG elements. Use your hands to let fire fall from the sky or raise mighty walls of earth in VR”.
Elemental Combat is a fast-paced, competitive Virtual Reality game that blends the speed and intensity of an FPS with martial arts and RPG elements. Use your hands to let fire fall from the sky or raise mighty walls of earth in VR. Customize your avatar and take the fight online!
The title is derived from the ability to wield various elements, to engage in 1vs1 combat fight against other VR users or AI across Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. There is a RPG element, whereby your character can grow stronger as he level up in the game, in order to learn new and powerful elemental abilities.
Avorlon states that they faced a lot of unexpected challenges regarding the VR multiplayer. Currently, the matchmaking system will comprise of a ‘1v1 fight between players’ who has a HTC Vive or Oculus Rift, and has a Steam account. Players can also play through LAN with their system for an even better connection too.
The game also sees multiple feedbacks from play testing at conferences, which leads to changes in some of the game mechanics. “These changes (punch activated attacks, competitive balancing and UI improvements, to name a few) have a considerable impact on the core of the game and this is why we took a bit more time to get it right.”
The Steam Page for this title is live, and you can access it here. The game will be releasing as early access in November.
