“DOOM VFR” Will Includes 2 Classic Doom Maps, Video

We are just a day or two away from the launch of Bethesda‘ next VR title “DOOM VFR“, and now we have some new information regarding the title.

First, some refreshment about this fast-paced, brutal action title: This is a brand new, build-for-VR title in the Doom series. In this title, you play as a cybernetic survivor who is ‘activated by the UAC to fight the demon invasion, maintain order, and prevent catastrophic failure at the Mars facility’. DOOM VFR is set to be releasing on Steam and PS Store for HTC Vive and Playstation VR (with support for Dual Shock 4, PS Move and PS Aim) respectively. The game will also feature movement styles including teleporting, dashing and traditional movement using a gamepad or a PS Aim controller.

Now on to the new news: This title will include VR version of 2 classic Doom maps: Toxic Refinery and Nuclear Plant. The maps will look exactly the same as they did over 2 decades ago, down to their low resolution graphic display. Your enemies on the other hand, are the same as Doom from last year. There’s a catch though: you have to unlock them by playing through the main campaign.
