“Resident Evil 7” Won VR/AR Award At The Game Awards

Capcom‘s 7th episode in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 7 biohazard  , has won the best VR/AR game award at The Game Awards.

In this survival horror title, player plays a protagonist who has to venture into an abandoned southern farmhouse to search for his girlfriend, but what happened next is a traumatizing experience which involves getting trapped and tormented by the Baker’s family, a bunch of monsters and bio-logical science experiment.

Resident Evil 7 biohazard can be played in VR (san motion control) on the Playstation VR only, as well as without VR. On the PC though, the game is only playable without VR option. Sony currently has an active one year exclusivity period for the VR component of this title on the PSVR, (which expires on 24 Jan 2018).

Other nominees include Superhot VR, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Lone Echo/Echo Arena and Farpoint.
